The Josephinum presents its rich collection. On display are the anatomical wax models from the 18th century as well as the history of Joseph II and that of the I. and II. Viennese Medical School through to high-tech medicine.

Entrance Prices

Tickets are available at the museum. Reduced entry is only possible with a valid ID. Card payment is also possible at the cash desk. We kindly ask you to keep backpacks and large bags in the lockers provided during your stay. Photography is permitted for private use only and without flash.

Last admission: 45 minutes before the museum closes.

Guided tours

In one of our one-hour tours, our guides will show you the unique collection of anatomical wax models and the highlights of the permanent exhibition on medical history. You can also take part in one of our scheduled tours. 

SCHEDULED TOUR IN GERMAN - Permanent Exhibition (advance registration required): Thursday 6:30pm; Saturday 11am & 13pm. Tour price per person (excl. admission price) 5,00 euros

SCHEDULED TOUR IN ENGLISH - Special Exhibition Gustav Klimt and Medicine (advance registration required): Saturday 3:00pm. Tour price per person (excl. admission price) 3,00 euros

The minimum invoice amount for a group tour within the opening hours is 130,00 euros.

We will be delighted to organize your visit according to your requirements.
